To love our neighbors as ourselves

VISION

To love our neighbors as ourselves.

We are all going to die. We know that God gives life and determines the start and end of each life. If that was it, there would be no need for further discussion.

We know the God-given life is body and soul. The soul lives now and will continue to live after the body dies.

We know the God-given life at birth is separated from God. At the point of conscious accountability, we know the only way to God is Jesus Christ. This is a spiritual reality not a physical or emotional experience. From the Gospel of John 3:5-7, the words of Jesus are: "I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of Water and Spirit. Humans can only reproduce human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. So don't be surprised when I say You Must be Born Again."

We know in the court of God’s final judgement, there is only one defense: the acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal savior. John 3:18, "There is no judgement against anyone who Believes in him. But anyone who does not Believe in him has already been judged for not Believing in God’s one and only Son."

We know the immediate human reaction is: I don’t need a savior, all is good, thank you.

We know God knows us. He knows that not one person is perfect no matter how good we may think we think we are, or others think we are. We were born fallen. We may be able to attempt to justify to ourselves, friends, family, or anyone who will agree that we are just fine. But that will not play at God’s judgement seat. Saved from unsaved will be separated.

We know that those of us who know Jesus Christ as personal savior (although we are still human and sinful) must tell others about this remarkable free gift of salvation. We cannot love our neighbors as ourselves without mentioning this spiritual reality.

We know the Word of God to be true:

• II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.
• Mark 13:32 Heaven and earth will disappear but my words will never disappear.
• John 3:16 For God so loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
• Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

MISSION

To give every person the opportunity to reconcile with God by accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Final Mission
Please pray for yourself that you have an encounter with Jesus Christ.
